So, Ontario What Do You Think About Teaching Creationsim?

Hmmmm…tell us, please:

Under no circumstances should creationism be taught in Ontario schools because there is no scientific validity to substantiate creationist claims.
Robin Kelly, Toronto

John Tory’s remark that evolution is a theory demonstrates his total ignorance of science. Gravity is only a theory, which may explain why John Tory is floating around in la-la land and not firmly grounded in reality like the rest of us.
Adam Quinan, North York

I was planning to vote PC after all the broken promises of the Liberals, but if the PC leader is talking this line I can’t imagine how he could run anything.
Scott Murphy, Peterborough

Creationism? Good lord, no.
Bob Manders, Toronto

No problem. Keep it in the same room with the fossils and the conservatives.
Jim Rawling, Toronto

If parents want their children to learn about creationism they should have that “education” through their church, temple, etc. True education is all about teaching children facts and scientific theories.
Tom Truong, Toronto

Creationism does not belong in the school system as it has no scientific basis; it is merely an expression of religious belief by some Christians and others. The believers are free to expound their idea in a religious setting and in the media but not as a topic of education. John Tory has jumped on the wrong bandwagon here.
Terence Rooney, Toronto

I thought John Tory was a more enlightened individual. To even suggest that creationist can be taught in school proves that he will stoop to any level to get elected. I was a supporter, now he has certainly lost me. Just look to our neighbors in the south how they vilify scientist and researchers in their quest to return to the Dark Ages. Please Mr. Tory do us a favour show Ontarians that science and technology is a worthy pursuit and you don’t need to mirror George Bush.
Daniel Girard, Keswick, Ont.

Creationism has a place in Sunday bible schools. Since the theory is strictly religious based, it should be taught in church not in classrooms.
Faye Tarzwell, Milton, Ont.
